JT9 Activity Days «Make haste slowly» on 9 SW bands were held on August 26 and 27, 2023. Reports sent by
100 radio amateurs. They are representatives of
45 regions of Russia, as well as radio amateurs from
12 foreign countries from Europe, North and South America. Most of the colleagues fulfilled the conditions of the special certificate, which, according to the terms of the Activity Days, was planned to be issued electronically for QSOs in JT9 mode with the sum of distances to correspondents exceeding 50,000 kilometers. We express our gratitude to the radio amateurs who supported our 7th JT9 days of activity and inform you that
all participants are awarded certificates, of which 87 fulfilled the standard for the sum of distances.
Certificates load here: AWARDS CENTER OF RDRC. Prizes are won in three competitions.
For the 1st place in the world the #1 certificate is awarded to Valery Savin
R0LM - 166 QSOs and
1.005.305 kilometers. The second diploma is for Ksenia Sedoykina
UB8Y RDRC#1270 - 233 QSOs and
759.966 km; the third - at Pedro Claudio Astrada
LW2EIY RDRC#854 - 52 QSOs and
709.767 km.
The information is published at a club forum in theme JT9 activity 26-27 august 2023.
We congratulate the owners of club pennants with the RDRC logos, which became winners in three competitions::
• «A picture is worth a thousand words» - in this contest, a lottery prize was drawn among the participants with the best results in terms of the number of radio communications with correspondents at distances over 10,000 kilometers, which were: in the Asiatic Russia - RA9HL, in the European Russia - R4OF, on the continents - SQ2PHC, CO8MCL, LW2EIY. The club pennant was won by Anatoly Larioshin RA9HL RDRC#1682 - 3 QSO over 10,000 km with a total distance of 49.266 kilometers.
• «As the call, so the echo» - in this contest the prize was drawn in a lottery between the participants with a result of over 100,000 kilometers. The winner was Nikolay Vdovin R3EDN RDRC#1688 - 59 QSO and 103.726 kilometers.
• «Half a loaf is better than no bread» - in this contest, the prize was drawn in a lottery between the participants with the best results on the bands. The winner was Ksenia Sedoykina UB8Y RDRC#1270, who became the first in each of the three bands of 10, 30 and 80 meters.
To determine the distances, the Vincenti formula was used, since it gives a more accurate result. To calculate this method in the PERL program, module Geo was used: Distance. Coordinates were taken from the gridsquare and my gridsquare fields of the logs sent. If there were no locator data in the log, their values were taken from the file call3.txt, which is used in the JTDX program.
Below are the tables with the results. Thank you all and welcome to participate on November 4-6 in the Days of Activity "Planet DIGIRADIO»! See you on the air, 73!
