The organizer of contest is the Russian Digital Radio Club. The Russian contest on radio short waves communications Russian WW Digital Contest by using the RTTY and BPSK63 modes is conducted according to the present Rules annually to first week-end of October. We invite all fans of digital modes to take part in contest from 12.00 UTC on Saturday 1st October till 11:59 UTC on Sunday 2nd October, 2016. Types of modulation: RTTY45, BPSK63.
The repeated contacts are permitted on different bands and different modes providing that a contact will be made not earlier than in 3 minutes. The output power should not exceed the resolved power according to the radioamateur license of the participant. The outpout QRP power should not exceed 5 watts. The operator may change the bands no more than 10 times within calendar hour (with zero on 59-th minute of each hour). Only one transmitted signal is permitted at any time. Bands: 160 m, 80 m, 40 m, 20 m, 15 m, 10 m. A separate category for the Russia and foreign participants.

3rd Russian WW Digital Contest starting time is at 12:00 UTC on Saturday 1 October and ending time is at 11:59 UTC on Sunday 2 October 2016.

 

Objective:

- popularization of the digital modes of amateur contacts in Russia;
- determination of the most stronger sportsmen of the country and the world;
- increasing the skill of the participants.

Bands: 
Contest participants are allowed to work on 160 meters (1.8 MHz), 80 meters (3.5 MHz), 40 meters (7 MHz), 20 meters (14 MHz), 15 meters (21 MHz) and 10 meters (28 MHz). RDRC recommends the following frequencies: 1.840 - 1.843 MHz, 3.582 - 3.599, 7.040 - 7.050 MHz, 14.072 - 14.110 MHz, 21.072 - 21.110 MHz, 28.072 - 28.125 MHz.

MULTI-ONE - Multi-Operator, Single Transmitter, All Bands - Club stations and SES stations:
- World - all the countries except for Russia,
- European Russia,
- Asiatic Russia;
MULTI-ONE JUNIOR - Multi-Operator Junior: each participant younger than 20 years, Single Transmitter, All Bands - Club stations and SES stations - only 6 hours: QSOs lead within 6 hours continuously, since the moment first QSO in contest will be included:

SINGLE-OP ALL HIGH - Single-Operator, All Bands, High power - the output power should not exceed the resolved power according to the radioamateur license of the participant:

Note:

1.The participants can be declared only one subgroup.

2. SOQRP - is necessary to indicate in your call /QRP

Note MOAB: Two - ten operators with their personal or SWL callsigns can form a team. Personal callsigns should be necessarily specified. Each participant younger than 20 years in subgroup MOAB will be awarded a certificate for participation in the contest.

Note SWL: Bilaterial supervision when both are accepted signal and both control numbers are set off only. With the same signal it is possible to fix in the report only one supervision in each mode on one band. In the report each bilaterial supervision should be written down in one line. For one supervision it is charged three points. Multipliers at observers are not present. A divergence on time standard - no more than 3 minutes. That the report has been accepted to refereeing, it is necessary for making strictly on the recommended sample. Certificates will award the winner, prize-winners and participants in subgroup SWL on the basis of the general rules of rewarding.

Note to air monitoring: Observers and participants of the contest can assist the Contest Committee in terms of monitoring and recording of air possible violations. 

YOUTH SPRINT in RUS-WW-DIGI 2016:
We invite all young radio amateurs at the age under 20 - 1996 year of birthday and younger - to take part in Youth sprint, which will take place in the frame of RUS-WW-DIGI 2016. Contacts, conducted during the six hours in a row, beginning with a moment of the first QSO in the contest, will go into the result of the sprint. It is allowed to take part in RUS-WW-DIGI a more longer time, but only contacts of the first six hours of the work on the air will go into account. But all the contacts must be shown in the log. There are two subgroups of contesters: SINGLE-OP JUNIOR - one operator, MULTI-ONE JUNIOR - teams from two till ten operators. Your results we shall publish in the separate table of Youth sprint simultaneously with the grand total of RUS-WW-DIGI 2016. While distributing taken places the panel of judges will take into account only the quantity of confirmed contacts. The names and surnames of all young contesters showing their year of birthday should be shown in the account. Logs must be sent to our e-mail, having shown in the line SOAPBOX and in the text of the letter about your participation in Youth sprint. Special prizes are provided for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in MO-subgroup and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in SO-subgroup as well. We invite chiefs of club stations and holders of individual callsigns to prepare very well for our contest and to show good results. Young contesters, having their own callsigns, can take part twice: six hours for the team and then for themselves under their own callsigns. All participants of Youth sprint will get personal certificates.

 

Number Exchange:

Participants from Russia, and also the foreign radioamateurs who are being in territory of Russia, should send RS,RST(Q) plus 2-letter abbreviation of Russian Area (oblast) Code (example for Moscow region – 599 MA). The list of Russia areas and their symbols look in the appendix on this page (in the end of the text of rules position). Participants from other countries and territories of the world (except for Russia), should send RS,RST(Q) plus QSO number, starting 001 (example - 599 001). The numeration on bands is current.General call - "CQ RUSTEST".

The repeated contacts are permitted on different bands and different modes providing that a contact will be made not earlier than in 3 minutes. The contact with correspondent who has not sent the report can be accepted if the callsign of the correspondent can be met not less than in three different reports.

Points:
Each contact between stations on 20, 15 and 10 m is worth:
- inside the country - 1 point;
- with other country - 3 points;
- with other continents - 5 points;

- with QRP-stations - 5 points.
The points on 160, 80 and 40 m are doubled.

 

Multiplier:

The multiplier are the countries according to the list of DXCC and Russian areas on each mode and each band.


Scoring:

The final score is the result of the total points multiplied by the sum of multipliers.

Prizes and Awards:

• Are you already familiar with digital modes and are there the first QSOs in the digi modes available in your log? Then we invite you to experience the dynamics of the digital contests and conduct during 24 hours maybe hundreds of QSOs in RTTY and BPSK63 modes. We have established a prize in RUS-WW-DIGI 2016 especially for the best beginners of digital contesting. Probably, you will become its owner and this award will be your first trophy in amateur radio communications. We shall consider only quantity of the confirmed QSO at definition of the winner among beginners. Thus, the prize will be received by those of you who will conduct the greatest quantity of QSO with the least amount of mistakes. • Among members of Russian Digital Radio Club, who will take active part in RUS-WW-DIGI 2016, organizers of competitions plan to raffle off double-sided pennant with logotypes of РЦРК-RDRC - members of RCRC with results in subgroups not less than 200 CFM QSO for participants from Russia and Europe and not less than 100 CFM QSO for members of the same club from other continents of the world.

• Special prize for the best results by quantity of multipliers in subgroups SINGLE-OP 160M-80M-40M.

• Special prize
will be played in a lottery among all participants in which the radio contacts will be confirmed with at least 50 regions of Russia (CFM OBL).

- For 1 place in subgroups;
- For 1 place on continents in each subgroup, under condition of not less than 3 participants from continent;

- For 1 place in each Federal districts of Russia in each of subgroups, under condition of not less than 3 participants from Federal districts.
 
2. The certificate of the PRIZEWINNER:
- For 2 and 3 place in subgroups;
- For 2 and 3 place on continents in each subgroup, under condition of not less than 5 participants from continent;
- For 2 and 3 place in each country DXCC in each of subgroups, under condition of not less than 5 participants from the country;
- For 2 and 3 place in each Federal districts of Russia in each of subgroups, under condition of not less than 5 participants from Federal districts.
 
3. The certificate of the PARTICIPANT:
- To all participants (except for CheckLog) under condition of carrying out not less than 70% confirmed QSOs.
 
4. Each participant younger than 20 years will be rewarded the personal certificate, for this purpose it is necessary to specify full Name, Surname and date of birth in the report.
 
Participants who got in DQ will not receive the awards, as well as those who sent reports for check (checklog). Therefore, we advise you to be necessarily declared in subgroups and not break the rules of our contest.

All winners and prizewinners will be sent only one award (in jpg format) for the higher of occupied rewarded places by e-mail.

Allowed correspondents:
Amateur radio operators from Russia and other countries of the world may participate in the competition.

 

Disqualification:

The Contest Committee will use the mechanism of monitoring of air for the purpose of revealing of the participants who operate with exceeding of admissible IMD norms, creating considerable QRM and breaking the Rules of the given competitions.

The basis for disqualification can be:

1. The operation with excess of admissible bandwidth of RTTY45 and BPSK63 signal  due to overloads, intermodulation, harmonics of a sound card and other reasons.

The Contest Committee will declare the prevention (a yellow card) to the participant for one fixed infringement on quality of a signal on the basis of spectrograms-screenshots. The prevention entails the penalty - 30 % of points will be removed in results from result of the infringer. Besides for the prevention certificates and prizes will not be given out.

The Contest Committee will declare DQ (a red card)to participants who will be recorded twice in a time interval not less than 15 minutes with quality of transmitting signal on scale Q<7http://ham.stackexchange.com/questions/548/digital-mode-signal-reports and worth, with inadmissible bandwidth of signal in Hz visible on “waterfall” and under condition of presence of a level of air noise on the time-and-frequency diagram.

2. The excess of the output power stipulated by given Rules.

3. Transmitted of two and more signals to one moment of time.

4. The use for transmitting of a control number not corresponding to the Rules of contest.

5. Not the message in the cabrillo report of data on a QTH of radio station.

6. Work from territory of Russia the call signs which have been not stipulated by regulating documents of Ministry of Communications and GRFC of Russia.

7. More than 30 % of not confirmed QSOs.

8. Unsporting behaviour during contest.

The results of the infringers will be cancelled. The appeals are not accepted!
