rus↔engFinal results of JT9 Activity Days «Make haste slowly» 2017
JT9 Activity Days «Make haste slowly» on 9 SW bands were held on August 25, 26 and 27, 2017. Reports sent by 127 radio amateurs, including 65 members of the RDRC. They are representatives of 35 regions from all eight Federal Districts of Russia, as well as radio amateurs from 28 foreign countries from six continents of the world. Most of the colleagues fulfilled the conditions of the special certificate, which, according to the terms of the Activity Days, was planned to be issued electronically for QSOs in JT9 mode with the sum of distances to correspondents exceeding 100,000 kilometers. We express our gratitude to the radio amateurs who supported our first JT9 Activity Days and we inform that the certificates will be sent to all the participants who sent the reports. Prizes are won in three competitions.

For the 1st place in the world the #1 certificate is awarded to Noel Matos Sardina, CM8NMN - 185 QSOs and 1.081.747 kilometers. The second diploma is for Nikolay Balkhonov, UN8PC RCRC # 857 - 247 QSOs and 835.621 km; the third - at Gennady Fedyaev, UA6LND 270 QSOs and 831.812 km.

Certificates it will be possible to take away a Yandex-disk on a site. Within two-three days the letter with the instruction of the reference for downloading the certificate will be sent to each participant. Please, inform us about reception of the certificate by e-mail to: rk3dsw(at)rdrclub.ru . The information on the sent letters will be published at a club forum in theme JT9 Days of activity 2017.

We congratulate the owners of club pennants with the РЦРК-RDRC logos, which became winners in three competitions::
• «A picture is worth a thousand words» - for the greatest number of QSOs with correspondents who are at a distance of more than 10.000 kilometers, the prize is awarded to Noel Matos Sardina, CM8NMN - 33 QSOs and 410.362 kilometers.
• «As the call, so the echo» - in this contest the prize was drawn in a lottery between the participants with a result of over 100,000 kilometers. The winner was Oleg Akilov RA3TOS RCRC#282 - 84 QSOs and 156.817 km.
• «Half a loaf is better than no bread» - in this contest the prize was drawn in a lottery between the participants, who showed the best results on each of the band. The prize has won by Lev Kuznetsov UN7DA RCRC#497 - 87.088 kilometers and 22 QSOs on 80 meters band.

RDRC pennants
To determine the distances, the Vincenti formula was used, since it gives a more accurate result. To calculate this method in the PERL program, module Geo was used: Distance. Coordinates were taken from the gridsquare and my gridsquare fields of the logs sent. If there were no locator data in the log, their values were taken from the file call3.txt, which is used in the JTDX program.
